Team Dog! STL is St. Louis’ premier dog training service, achieving training goals with greater clarity and higher levels of finesse than ever before. Our instruction on how to incorporate dog psychology, natural pack instincts and our obedience methods, has created our training philosophy that can meet the needs of the everyday dog owner.
Technology has advanced to give us options and the ability to fine tune the equipment in real time. With our techniques, dogs are able to have freedom much faster than with traditional training, and are therefore spending less time in the gray area of confusion, increasing the time to go out and just have fun! While the principles of conditioning behavior are the same as with traditional methods, the tools are evolving, and therefore, so are our methods.
Team Dog! STL serves the entire greater metro St. Louis area. Our results are second to none and have drawn the attention of the local media. We’ve had the opportunity to discuss Team Dog’s training philosophy on Fox 2’s Morning Show, The Monica Adam’s Health & Fitness Show on KMOX, The Craig Cornett Morning Show on 93.7 The BULL, and with Bo Matthews, DJ for WIL 92.3 FM. Katy Kruse from KSHE 95 has even been known to throw out the occasional comment about Team Dog!
Teaching proper obedience opens up the lines of communication between you and your dog creating endless possibilities. Why not teach your dog how to learn? A trained dog is a happy dog! Since the mid 90’s, Casey has been immersed in all aspects of the dog world and has helped hundreds of friends and clients unlock their dog’s individual potential through training and understanding dog psychology. Seeing different aspects in the sport of dogs has enabled him the opportunity to absorb the useful information and incorporate them into a training philosophy that can meet the needs of today’s issues that arise in our everyday lives.
While he has earned certifications through accredited schools and attended numerous seminars, his true passion is to be the best at what he does, therefore always keeping himself cultured about what’s new in the cutting edge of dog training. Casey’s knack for being able to read dogs has enabled him to push dogs to the next level and clients have witnessed transformations in their dogs only minutes after working with him. He enjoys teaching clients and rehabilitating their dogs to help them get back on track and achieve maximum results. When he’s on his own time, he enjoys putting on local demonstrations with his Belgian Malinois, Ezra, and German Shepherd, Alemo.

Shelly Ray with Anja
Shelly has been in the dog business for several years. From her conformation days to her owning a boarding & training business, she has encountered many opportunities to work with different types of breeds and temperaments. She’s seen the office side to running a business in the pet industry which has enabled her to keep a handle on Team Dog! St. Louis’ bookkeeping and scheduling. Her background in Humane Society work, both as an employee and volunteer, made her mind up that on top of handling office managerial duties, she wanted to gain the knowledge needed to offer dog training at a high level. In 2005, she attended schooling at the That’s My Dog! E-Cademy where she was immersed in hours of real-life, hands on training which has proven vital in working with Casey in turning out a product that is second to none. Shelly is a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals and the TMD! Dog Training Support Group.
Shelly enjoys working with her adopted Belgian Malinois mix, Anja, and proving to the general public that a once homeless canine can become an integral part of a family’s everyday adventures once the correct rules, boundaries and limitations are in place!
Alyssa Lehne & Louie
Growing up in a home that always had multiple dogs enabled Alyssa to gain experience in being able to read canine postures and body language and offered her the opportunity to watch pack behavior first hand. In a family where her influence was from her mother who trained dogs for many years, Alyssa seemingly had the knack for communicating with the dogs in her genetics.
By the time of high school graduation, Alyssa had already worked at a kennel and pet resort for several years. Handling dogs of all temperaments and personalities set her up to be a natural at dog training. Alyssa joins the Team Dog! staff and does great work at turning out results that Team Dog! has become known for. While attending college, she enjoys a variety of things, including entering her car in shows and hanging out with her pal and demo dog, a Great Dane named Louie.
